Improving transparency and trust in the management consultancy market is the stated aim of the "FOCUS Top Consultants" survey organized by FOCUS Business and the Burda subsidiary and market-research specialist "FactField". Over 11,000 experts – from clients as well as consultants – were asked about their experience with management consultants. 338 consulting firms based in Germany and active in at least one of 20 specialist fields or 18 business sectors made it onto the FOCUS Business recommendation list in 2022. b.telligent put in an impressive performance for the second year in succession, being placed in no less than eight assessment categories.

A passion for data leads to success

The methodology
In an online survey as well as in face-to-face and telephone interviews, FOCUS Business asked experts from all over Germany, including managing directors, partners and principals of consultancies as well as decision-makers on the client side who have themselves used consultancy services, what consulting firms they would recommend to others. Qualifying for inclusion in one of the top consultant lists requires an above-average number of recommendations within each specialist area or business sector – and an office in Germany. It is therefore possible to be listed in several categories. The list does not rank the consulting firms in any order but is an alphabetically sorted list of recommended consultants showing the number of points awarded.
