A significant increase in the share of cloud projects and intensive employee training has boosted the partnership between b.telligent and Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the Partner Network (APN). The company has set its sights on achieving AWS Premier status by 2020.
Munich, January 22, 2019 –Over the past six months, b.telligent has significantly expanded its existing partnership with AWS for cloud solutions and services. By means of targeted training and APN certifications, Frank Schmidt, the Big Data competence center manager at b.telligent, has greatly increased the proportion of business and technical professionals in his team. b.telligent is helping more and more companies in the retail, IoT, telecommunications and internet sectors to use business intelligence (BI), data engineering, data science and big data to build powerful infrastructures that can open up new growth opportunities in their markets.
"We believe that the cloud finally made a breakthrough in 2018. Most companies are now in favor of using cloud infrastructures and have migrated their processes away from on-premise solutions to cloud services. This is why we are investing heavily in our partnership with the market leader AWS," says Frank Schmidt.
"The cloud plays a role in over 60 percent of our new customer projects."
According to Bitkom, the cloud market is now experiencing a boom, with annual growth rates of 30 percent and more. Amazon's revenues from cloud computing exceeded USD 6 billion in the second quarter of 2018. As Frank Schmidt explains, this is clearly reflected in b.telligent's business activities: "The cloud now plays a role in more than 60 percent of our new customer projects. AWS provides the infrastructure and services for half of these."
Establishing and running AWS-based cloud architectures means creating new in-house agile microservice architectures along with agile and independent teams. As a result of these trends, data governance and the use of BI, data warehousing and data management – the core business of b.telligent – are gaining in importance. "Our core areas of business intelligence, data engineering, data science and big data are accelerating as a result of the growth in the cloud business. We are well on course to achieve our goal of becoming an AWS Premier Consulting Partner by the first quarter of 2020.”
