Look Back - Workshop “No ‘Botched Construction’ in Ingolstadt

On Tuesday, 27 November 2012, Dr. Gernot Schreib, Manager of the Competence Center DWH, held a workshop on the topic “No ‘Botched Construction’: IT Architecture of a Business Intelligence Environment” at the University for Applied Sciences in Ingolstadt.

9 students studying information technology, business information technology and electrical and information engineering in various semesters attended the three-hour event which was organized by the Career Service of the Ingolstadt University.

Starting with medium-sized businesses, every business conducts business intelligence today. In recent years, a standard architecture evolved for the design of a data warehouse and of the data flows within the business intelligence environment.

In the course of the workshop, the students analyzed the construction principles of DWHs together with Dr. Gernot Schreib and were introduced to the implementation of business intelligence and DWH architectures by way of specific examples from different industries.

b.telligent would like to take this opportunity to extend another warm ‘Thank you’ for the interesting contributions to the discussion and the active participation in the workshop.
