b.telligent Supports Otto in the Successful Cloud Migration of Its Marketing Platform

Munich, October 28, 2024 – With the support of data and analytics consultancy b.telligent, OTTO has successfully migrated its marketing planning platform to Google Cloud. In just 12 months, the existing infrastructure was modernized, enabling the popular online marketplace to respond more flexibly and efficiently to market demands.

Modernization For The Future

Until recently, OTTO relied on an on-premises marketing resource management (MRM) software, which no longer met current expectations in terms of scalability, flexibility, and API performance. To continue working efficiently and automate marketing planning processes, a modern, cloud-based solution was necessary.

A Combination Of Marmind And Google Cloud

To meet the high demands of the online marketplace, OTTO introduced the MRM software Marmind and developed a flexible backend in Google Cloud. This allows data flows to be integrated in near real-time and enables automated campaign management. Antje Stieger, Senior Business Designer at OTTO, praised the collaboration: “b.telligent played a key role in supporting us with the development and migration of our existing marketing planning platform to Google Cloud. Flexibility and pragmatism, combined with expertise in cloud technologies and marketing, were essential to implementing a successful solution.”

More Flexibility, Less Dependency

With the cloud-based solution, OTTO successfully migrated a system with over 300 users in a short period of time. The automation and integration of data flows now enable marketing teams to respond more quickly to necessary requirements with fewer technical resources, saving both time and capacity. "Together with OTTO, we managed to replace the legacy system with a modern, flexible MRM system and migrate the platform to the cloud in just 12 months. This laid the foundation for greater automation and connectivity," said Lisa Burow, the technical project manager at b.telligent responsible for the migration project. With the successful completion of this project, b.telligent once again demonstrated its expertise in optimizing data-driven business processes and helping companies on their path to a digital future.
